Dr Rota, Dr Boura, Dr Batzu and Prof Chaudhuri of the International Centre of Excellence in Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders together with key collaborators have performed an extensive literature research, including studies exploring the use of dopamine agonists for the treatment of non-motor symptoms. They indicate the highest level of evidence in each section. They propose a personalised approach in Parkinson’s disease treatment, and encourage a thoughtful use of dopamine agonists, rather than an overall nihilism. This was published as a review article on Expert Review of Neurotherapeutics.
