Julia Koch joined the EUROPAR Team as a Clinical Observer in January 2019 for a 4 month internship at King’s College London under the supervision of Professor Chaudhuri.

She is a medical student in her final year at RWTH Aachen University in Germany and has been working in clinical REM Sleep Behaviour Disorder (RBD) research for the past 3 years. Currently, she is finishing her MD thesis (Dr med), focusing on autonomic dysfunction in RBD. Moreover, she has a keen interest in biomarkers and prodromal Parkinson’s Disease (PD) as well as non-motor symptoms.

She greatly appreciates the opportunity to gain more experience in PD research and advanced PD medical treatment for her future career, learning from a team awarded as a Centre of Excellence.
